Psoriasis
Psoriasis is a skin disorder that can have devastating emotional and physical effects on you and your loved ones. This autoimmune condition is caused by dysfunction and inflammation of the immune system. An active case of psoriasis causes the cells in the skin to multiply more rapidly than usual causing red, itchy and silvery scaly patches. The patches are referred to as plaques and can present differently from person to person but is most commonly found on the scalp, knees and elbows.
Sebborheic dermatitis
Seborrheic dermatitis is a common skin condition that causes an itchy rash with flaky scales and appears as red patches. This condition can present on the scalp, at the nap of the neck, on the face or on other body parts. Research shows that stress plays a role in triggering this skin condition. A yeast called malassezia that normally lives on the skin without causing problems can become triggered by stress, genetics or an autoimmune response. Seborrheoic Eczema
Seborrheoic eczema is one of the most common types of eczema seen on the scalp and hairline. It appears in babies (as cradle cap), children and adults. The skin appears red, and scaly and there is often dandruff as well, which can vary in severity. In some cases, the skin can become infected especailly if scratched and when there is broken skin. A severely inflamed scalp may result in temporary hair loss but hair will grow back when the eczema settles.

Case: Male client, 22 years old with a severe case of seborrheic eczema. He suffered from severe itch, scalp swelling, oil, flakes and scalp inflammation.
Recommendation: A series of 6-8 treatments spread apart over 2-3 months.

Client: Female client of only 11 years of age. She presented with oily, matted scales fixated to the scalp and hair. It was painful for her to move her hair or could run her fingers or a comb through it.
Recommendations: Detoxification of scalp called a "scatial" to remove excess dead skin cells and balance out oils on scalp.

Results: She exceeded my expectations. After only ONE treatment, we were able to remove about 95% of the oily yellow scale.
We also treated ends and she can now comb and run fingers through hair.
She's continued to maintain her results post treatment and no longer experiences pain when she combs her hair. The inflammation will go down in time .
